2008 FileMaker Cube Awards Open for Entry

FileMaker opens search for 'developers of excellence'

London, 8th September 2008 – A trip to San Francisco is on the cards for the winner of FileMaker's 2008 Cube Awards – Developers of Excellence, as the competition opens for entry today.

The FileMaker Cube Awards are continuing a long tradition of recognising developer excellence and are now in their second year following a successful 2007 debut. The awards recognise the work of individuals and organisations for innovative, productivity improving solutions created using FileMaker technology.

Entrants to the awards will be able to submit their solution into any of the following categories:

  • The Education Award – celebrating the most inspiring use of FileMaker technology in an educational institution. The 2007 award was won by 3 Square Associates
  • The Business Award – won in 2007 by Cordis Technology, the business award highlights the effectiveness of FileMaker technology in a business or non-profit organisation
  • The Innovation Award – a new category for 2008, the winner of this category will have used FileMaker technology to create a unique, ground-breaking solution

Shortlisted entrants for each category will be invited to attend The Cube Awards luncheon at The Queen's Club, Kensington on Friday 21st November, where they will also be entered into the "Winner of Winners Award" category. The winner of this award, celebrated for the overall best use of FileMaker, will enjoy a trip to the FileMaker DevCon 2009 in San Francisco. Each of the category winners will also benefit from individual prizes of £500 of FileMaker software.

Entry for the awards opens today, and nominations will close at 17:00 on Friday 10th October 2008. Submissions can be made via www.filemaker.co.uk/cubeawards08, with full terms and conditions also available on the site.
