FileMaker Activation

Activation technology is included in single-license versions of FileMaker Pro 9, 10 and 11 and FileMaker Pro 9, 10 and 11 Advanced.

What does Activation do?

Activation helps ensure you have a genuine copy of FileMaker software, and helps protect FileMaker, Inc. from illegal distribution of its software.

How does Activation work?

The activation process will be prompted the first time you launch select FileMaker applications. For FileMaker Pro 11, FileMaker Pro 10, FileMaker Pro 11 Advanced and FileMaker Pro 10 Advanced, software activation is on the local machine.

For FileMaker Pro 9 and FileMaker Pro 9 Advanced, software activation completes via the Internet, and no personal information captured or transmitted during the activation process for individual licenses. You may choose to activate your software over the phone by contacting Customer Support. You will have 30 days to activate your software, after which time non-activated software will no longer function.
